We are looking for an experienced production leader in machining. The role involves leading and daily management of the production team, as well as close collaboration with planning, purchasing, quality, and maintenance to ensure delivery, capacity utilization, and high quality in production.
ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate daily production in machining: prioritize and allocate work, ensure staffing, and follow up on production status.
Plan short- and medium-term production setups together with production planners and use business systems/ERP to support decision-making and follow-up.
Monitor key performance indicators such as delivery precision, machine utilization, lead time, and quality, and initiate improvement activities as needed.
Ensure machine and tool availability in collaboration with maintenance and the workshop, and prioritize actions during disruptions to minimize downtime.
Coaching and development of employees: work allocation, skills development, safety, and workplace environment work.
Participate in daily check-ins and morning meetings, communicate status to management and other functions, and document decisions and actions according to procedures.
Drive improvement work focusing on standardization of work methods, flow optimization, and quality improvements.
Several years of experience in production management or as a production leader, preferably in machining or mechanical workshop production.
Good understanding of workshop processes, tools, fixtures, and machine capacities, as well as the ability to translate this into realistic operational decisions.
Experience working with business systems/ERP and production monitoring; experience with Monitor is a plus.
Documented ability to lead and motivate teams, make operational decisions under time pressure, and prioritize resources effectively.
Familiarity with key performance indicators, follow-up, and continuous improvement methods (e.g., 5S, Lean, Kaizen).
Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, to collaborate internally and document work.
Previous experience with the business system Monitor is an advantage.
You are structured, responsible, and have good situational awareness. You enjoy keeping an overview of multiple activities simultaneously, are solution-oriented, and collaborate well across functions to ensure delivery and quality.
